Road Trippin' to the beach (bay)

Well, I braved the car with both kiddos for more than a quick HEB run or church and most importantly, we all survived!!! Nana came to town on Thursday to watch Greyson for me while I went to the cardiologist for my 6 week hospital follow up and treadmill stress test on Friday. Friday also happened to be Bella's 9th birthday so we thought we'd hitch a ride back to Rockport for the weekend. Plus, Momma would have another set of hands for the road trip if needed. We made it more than three quarters of the way there before we needed to stop to feed Peyton. We also decided that a Sonic shake sounded good so we stopped at a Sonic and Peyton got fed too! On a side note, the new shakes at Sonic are delish, especially the butter toffee one. ;)  Once we made it to Rockport we enjoyed lots of family downtime at Coco and Uncle Larry's house .The first thing Greyson wanted to know was where his bed was. He is referring to his pack n play that he has always slept in at Coco's house. He was excited to know that he had been kicked out of the pack n play because Peyton needed it and we would be sleeping with the big kids in the BIG bed in Trey's room. It was a very successful first time in the big bed with the kiddos. He slept through the night and never got out of bed! Woo Hoo!
We ventured out to the Rockport Beach, which is just the bay, for Bella's birthday. Greyson was so excited to ride on the kayaks and play with the BIG kids. Peyton didn't realize that this was her first trip to the water, she instead only cared about sleeping and eating. Smart girl! Grammie happened to be closing on her new home here in San Antonio on Monday (insert all the praise hands here) so we were able to hitch a ride back to SA with her. It was a win win in my book. I didn't have to drive, had an extra set of hands and got to spend time with family while hanging by the water in the sand. The only thing missing was Daddy! We are ready to do a repeat of this weekend but with Daddy in tow next time.
Patiently waiting for Momma to get her life jacket on

Ready to get in the Kayak!

NO fear whatsoever. He loved it!

Learning about reels with Uncle Larry

He was playing his banjo and serenading us all.
