Greyson got 7 books in the mail today. He loves to read, and his mommy loves to read to him. I just like to document it. He has become so used to having a light stuck in his face that it doesn't even phase him. I guess when that's all you've known your whole life, you don't even notice that a giant soft box is repeatedly flashing right in front of you.

life lately...

This is a little peek into our life lately.

 Monday night marked a milestone here at our house. Greyson is a great helper!

 First night in his big BIG boy bed! 

 We finger painted for the first time on Tuesday and he thought is was loads of fun. Took him a while to get into it. He said he didn't like that the paint was sticky and wet. ha!

 Greyson helped me bake a pumpkin swirl bundt cake. Yumm-o!

 Daddy thought it would be a good idea to introduce Greyson to the flight simulator. He has created a monster. Ha! Greyson is still obsessed with planes and has been for about a year now. He will eventually get to fly with Gramps out at the flying field once he is good to go on the simulator. 

Like father, like son. Greyson got to assist in taking apart his first computer. Guess it's time to hide the screwdrivers. lol 

We've been keeping busy around here and enjoying the springlike weather. It is 79 degrees here today! Hope y'all have a fabulous love filled weekend. We will be busy puttering around the house trying to find a spot for the baby stuff that's about to resurface from the attic. Only 6 weeks to go!!!!!!

big BIG boy bed

We finally switched Greyson from his big boy toddler bed (the crib with one of the sides removed) to what he is referring to as his big BIG boy bed last night. He will eventually get his cousin Hank's bed but in the meantime he is using what we had in the guest room. He was super excited to get a new bed and to get big boy bedding. We were nervous about how the night would go since he was free to get in and out of bed on his own. He surprised us and only got out of bed once at 4am. I went in and sang him a couple of songs and he went back to sleep until 6:55 this morning. It was earlier than his normal wake up time but we were pleased.

hot wheels, books & stickers....oh my!

Greyson got another surprise package in the mail last week. This time is was from Papa Sam and Grandma Mickey and it was full of glitter. lol That was the handmade tutu outfit for Peyton. :)  Once he pulled the girl clothes out of the top of the box he discovered the good stuff...hot wheel ambulances, stickers and old books that belonged to Grandma Mickey when she was little.

He had a blast deciding which stickers to give Daddy and Mommy. He was over the moon excited to add to his ever expanding hot wheels collection too.  Plus, he is a total bookworm and loved reading the "new" books.

Snuggle bugs

I have a feeling that my sweet little guy is picking up on the nesting phase of this pregnancy. He has been much more snugglier than normal, although he is always up for snuggles. He is asking to sit in my lap and snuggle more often. He wants to rock in the recliner and read anytime we have a spare minute. He must know that his days of being the only one in my lap are coming to a end quickly. Peyton will be here in less than 8 weeks! Nightly family snuggle time on the couch after dinner before bedtime has been a daily request the last week or so. How did the pregnancy go by soooo fast???
