San Antonio Aquarium

We have been trying to find things we can do indoors since it is hotter than heck out lately! We met up with one of Grammie's best friends and her daughter and granddaughter for a day at the SA Aquarium. While it was nice and cool inside, and they had some aquatic life for us to observe, Greyson preferred the play area. It was equipped with a kitchen area with ovens, fridges, food, shopping carts, etc. He was in his element. He also enjoyed the carousel and pony rides.

Here are some videos of the carousel and pony rides.

He liked to look at the stingrays but wanted nothing to do with feeding and touching them. I don't blame him, they sucked the shrimp from your fingers and were super slimy!

Peyton slept through the entire Aquarium adventure!

Life Lately

We have been doing a bunch of indoor bummin' around to try and beat this heat. It is entirely too hot to be outside with the kiddos past 9am! I've had to get creative with Playdoh, concerts performed by Greyson, and lots of play time on the floor lately. We have found our way to the pool a few times with friends and with Grammie and Daddy when they are available. I am ready for some cooler weather, how about y'all?
Greyson and Grammie made some popcorn the old school way, on the stovetop! He thought it was fabukous.

Teaching Peyton all about the baby toys we finally brought out.

Finally got up enough confidence to put on his puddle jumper and get in the big pool by himself. He loves "swimming"

Greyson turns 3

We had a fabulous time celebrating our little guy last weekend. He woke up on Friday, his actual birthday, and was quite devastated that his birthday party wasn't that day! So, in a quick judgement call I made reservations at his requested restaurant, Maggiano's and we texted the local Grandma's, Mimi and Grammie, to see if they could come last minute. Thankfully they could and that made him happy. While we waited for dinner time to roll around we ran some last minute errands with Coco, she came into town on Thursday at noon to celebrate our little guy. We ended up at Costco picking up last minute party items and eating a slice of pizza for lunch while watching them make the pizzas. This was the birthday boys request. Greyson thoroughly enjoyed his spaghetti at dinner!!!! It was all over his face, hands, ears, everywhere!!! At dinner the waiter brought Greyson a dessert with candles and he was so precious and proud while we sang to him.

He woke up bright and early Saturday morning ready to have his Lovie, sock monkey, party! He was so helpful getting the stuff together and helping us set up the park pavilion again this year. I chose the park in our neighborhood each year as the location because the kiddos can play on the playground and I don't have to think of things to do to entertain them during the party. It's a win win in my book. Plus, he needed somewhere to ride his new red power wheels Jeep he got at the end of the party. The kiddos are always so helpful opening the presents...sometimes too helpful and we don't get the shots we need since little heads and hands are in the way. Ha! However, he enjoys it and I like that he can thank the guest right then and there for their gifts. He was spoiled rotten this year, like always!!! Each year Jeremy and I are always blown away at how many people come to celebrate our little guy. We appreciate the time our family and friends take out of their busy schedules to come help us celebrate the life our baby boy!!!
Happy 3rd birthday Greyson Michael!!!

Jacob enjoying the playground. It's not just entertaining for the little kiddos,

So, Daddy wasn't able to get his first reaction on camera because he spotted Gramps and Uncle Jason walking up with it while he was still opening presents! Little stinker! To say he was excited was an understatement. He took each of the smaller kiddos at the party on a ride.

We did banana spilts instead of cake this year to stick with the monkey theme. Jeremy and I found this sparkler candle at HEB and thought he would love it. Instead, it kinda freaked him out. #parentfail

jammin' out

We all know that Greyson is musically inclined. After all, he is obsessed with his ding ding(piano keyboard), his guitars...he has 5!...and his drums, harmonica, kazoo and many other instruments. He also LOVES to sing!!! He gets that from his Coco! :)  Well, he discovered that he loves to put on a concert for himself in front of the mirror in Peyton's room. These are just a few of the pics Jeremy snapped of him before he was busted taking pics. Greyson is going through a "don't take my picture" phase. Wonder if the overload of pics from birth until now is catching up with him. ha!

Flashback Friday

How in the world is our baby boy almost 3 years old and his little sister 3 months old?? With time flying by as fast as it is, I thought it would be a good time as any to do a little flashback Friday to when they were tiny. It blows my mind how much they look alike. Warning: picture overload ahead!
